Windy's Pay It Forward

Part 1:
'Pay it Forward' is a way of helping people without expecting anything back from them. This idea came from a movie called pay it forward, and a boy named Trevor was assigned to do an assignment and it was to think of something to change the world. Trevor's idea was to help three people and they will pay it forward to three other people.

Part 2:
My group Thessa, Karen and I paid it forward by taking care of Thessa's sister, Jacquelin Eva. This gave Thessa's parents a quality time to spend together. We choose to this activity because it would be good and fun. We took care of her for 3 hours, also we made cards and put them on peoples windshields and decided to hand some out personally. Though it was pretty cold outside. This event happened in December 18, 2010.

Part 3:
During this project, we made cards to spread the word Pay It Forward, we then put them on peoples windshields and handed them out personally. I felt good because we spread the world about it, but at the same time we were nervous because we we needed to socialized. They felt surprised about the project and wanted to be involved we asked many people to be involved. The next day we got together and took care of Thessa's sister.

Part 4:
The idea Pay It Forward is important because it could change a persons life, and make it happen you can also do anything to change someone's life, doing something nice to people without expecting anything back from them. I think that my act of kindness made a difference because Thessa's parents needed a quality time together so it was a perfect timing for us to took care of her.

PAY IT FORWARD !

0.268 0.268x100=26.8% 26.8 divided by 100 = 67/250
5.98 5.98x100=598% 598 divided by 100 = since there are 2 digits in
98, the very last digit is the "100th" decimal place. 0.98 is the same as 98/100. The fraction 5 98/100 is not reduced to lowest terms. We can reduce this fraction to lowest terms by dividing both the numerator and denominator by 2. Why divide by 2? 2 is the Greatest Common Divisor or Greatest Common Factor of the numbers 98 and 100. So your final answer is: 5.98 can be written as the fraction 5 49/50

Percent% Decimal Fraction
750% 750 divided by 100=7.5 7.5 divided by 100 = 15/2 = 7 2/11
0.3% 0.3 divided by 100=0.3 0.3 divided by 100 = 3/1000 = 3/10
12 3/4% 12.75 divided by 100 =0.1275 0.1275 divided by 100 =51/400=51/4=1 4/11

Sorry if it sounded confusing, I tried my best.

Windy's Math Profile

Hi there, my name is Windy Tabaquero and I am a grade 8 math student. If ever i've been asked "Do you like math" I would honestly say no, because it is challenging for me, and not my best subject. I'm not the strongest math student, but I try my best to improve my grades. The best thing I learned in math was multiplacation, and I was in grade 2, the number's I could only do best was 1's, 5's and 10's, but as I got older I tried remembering all of them.

In Grade 7, I did best on Integers, because it was nice knowing the positive, and negative numbers including zero pairs and number lines. I struggle alot when it comes to fractions, but this year i'll try to participate by putting my hands up and asking questions. I will also study for tests and quizzes to get better marks and grades.

This is now Grade8. To be a successful student, I will finish my homework on time, I will ask my peers teachers for help and understand the topic more. This year I am looking forward to learn more about solving equations and word problems.

I posted a couple of posts last year, but one of the posts was about Perpendicular lines, and here is the link:
I like this post because it shows that I put alot of effort into it, and also it shows how to make one. Blogging helped me become a better student because, you get to review everything you learned that day in class. Computer activities could help us understand the topic more.
